Lambda Value?

The Thermal conductivity (Lambda) describes the property of a material to conduct heat.

The lower , the better the insulation.

The values of the thermal conductivity of several layers in a wall determine the (»R-value«).

Beispiele:

Sand-lime-brick: Density 1600 g/l, = 0,790
(high conductivity, low thermal insulation)

Neopor: Density 25g/l, = 0,031
(low conductivity, high thermal insulation)

Use the R-value calculator to investigate the R-value for a wall.
